JP's Saw
Possibly my first painted saw. Actually the rust made an interesting surface. JP commissioned a stagecoach...then he asked for a stagecoach robbery...so I added the possee.

Moonshine--new online bi-monthly newsletter
Check out the new moonshine.southerncreativity.com
bi-monthly newsletter. I am writing articles "In the Field" encouraging artists to paint outside their studios. I recently discovered a member of SAL (Valdosta Art club)is a contributing writer also. I hope to continue with this as the enjoyment I feel overflows. It's a way to pass along the "thrill". I have found that once artists get out there they sometimes have a difficult time staying near the "stove".

Hot Day's Morn
8 x 10 alla prima oil on SourceTek Birchwood board Painted August 8, 2007
The night air had not cooled down much from the day before. It was fun to try to capture the warmth. I wasn't there long before drinking water and soda. Attempting to paint quite early in the morning on a very hot day gave me a sense of satisfaction.
Pigeon Mountain- Plein Air Painting
10 x 20 oil on Source Tek done in the summer of 2007.
Framed in white wood for $300/ without frame $250
